In Nevada, Elon Musk has established a brand-new artificial intelligence business named X.AI, the Wall Street Journal has just reported. Musk is identified as the company’s director, while Jared Birchall, who is commonly regarded as Musk’s right-hand man in the background, is described as the secretary.
Although Musk has called for a six-month hiatus in the creation of AI tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, he has continued to make great strides in the creation of his own AI. Musk co-founded OpenAI with others in 2015, but he departed the organization in 2018 amid a power conflict.
According to a reporter from Insider earlier this week, Musk has recently recruited some significant employees from the field of artificial intelligence, including Igor Babuschkin and Manuel Kroiss. Babuschkin was hired away from Alphabet, the organization that owns Google, and its DeepMind AI division.
Last month, it was believed that Musk would work on AI under the auspices of Twitter, which he acquired in October 2022. However, it is now obvious that Musk wants to create AI with this new, independent firm in Nevada, WSJ reports.
