Kraken, one of the prominent cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, is reportedly planning to offer users the trading of listed stocks in the United States and the United Kingdom, as per Bloomberg News. This service is scheduled to launch in 2024 and will be managed by a new division called Kraken Securities.

Is Kraken Licensed in the United Kingdom?

Furthermore, according to an anonymous source, Kraken is said to already have the necessary authorizations in the United Kingdom and has applied to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United States for a broker-dealer license.

“While we cannot comment on rumors or speculation, we aim to expand and enhance our offering to ensure our customers have secure and uninterrupted access to Kraken’s full product suite.”
