In an effort to curb the spread of misinformation in the digital world, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, owner of X (Twitter), announced that those who share false information on the platform will no longer be able to earn revenue from their posts.
According to Musk’s statements, a change is being made to the “community notes” feature on Twitter to prevent posts identified as having false information from generating revenue. This feature is used to correct false information on the platform or to explain the true context of posts.
Musk also pointed out that any malicious use of this feature would be noticeable, emphasizing that all data and codes are open source, highlighting the platform’s transparency.
