Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson Reveals Cryptocurrencies in Portfolio

Jenny Johnson, the CEO of Franklin Templeton, recently disclosed the crypto assets held in the company’s portfolio, following its recent application for a spot Bitcoin ETF with the SEC.

In an interview with Fortune today, Jenny Johnson revealed that she holds cryptocurrency assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Uniswap (UNI), and SushiSwap (SUSHI) in her portfolio. Johnson noted that these investments constitute a small portion of the overall portfolio.

“They’re all standard: ethereum, a little bitcoin, SushiSwap, Uniswap. I have a couple of different things like that,” according to Johnson’s statement, indicating that the company’s investments in crypto assets are part of a diversified portfolio.

Franklin Templeton, with approximately $1.5 trillion in assets under management, applied for a spot Bitcoin ETF with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in September. The proposed ETF is designed to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange’s Arca platform and, if approved, will use both in-kind and cash mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulations.

The SEC recently requested public feedback on the spot Bitcoin ETF applications from Franklin Templeton and crypto asset management company Hashdex.
