There was activity today in one of the wallets of Vitalik Buterin, the pioneer of the Ethereum ecosystem and co-founder of Ethereum. In recent weeks, it was determined that this wallet, which was claimed to belong to Buterin, transferred 600 and 400 ETH to Coinbase in the same week. Today, a similar activity occurred: According to the news of Wu Blockchain, the 0xD0…8fd7 wallet address connected to Buterin transferred exactly 1,000 ETH (approximately 1.64 million dollars) to the 0x55…31B1 wallet address.
This activity has been continuing since September. Wallet address 0xD0…8fd7 has transferred 4,000 ETH worth approximately $6.39 million during this period. With its current balance, this wallet holds 36,000 ETH, worth $59 million.
Transfers to Different Exchanges
When the past transaction records of the wallet address 0x55…31B1 were examined, it was determined that most of the Ethereum transferred to this address was directed to major cryptocurrency exchanges such as Coinbase, Bitstamp, and Paxos.
Buterin attracted attention last month by sending a total of 1000 ETH, worth approximately $1.5 million, to Coinbase. The purpose of Buterin, who continues the big transfers that took place in September this month, is not yet known.
